It was exactly like the photos! A very beautiful and cozy place, in a perfect spot on the island. There were plenty of events that brought people closer together! When I visit Madeira again, I will definitely stay in the same place!

The common kitchen is super clean and there is a lot of space , however the is a cute terrace where we had our breakfast. The property is really close to the beach , to the restaurants and the super market.

Located in Funchal and with Marina do Funchal reachable within 2 km, FX Pena provides a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. The place was spotless and very well kept. I had a big, comfortable room. The staff were kind, and communication was clear and easy.

The hostel is ideally located in the old town, close to the nice places of Funchal. The room was all cleaned, well equiped, and beautiful. We had very nice expérience there. I also recommand to go to the restaurant downstairs which is very good. Nice welcome from both hostel and restaurant.

A comfy hostel located extremely centrally, yet in a smaller street, so it's not too noisy. The staff were very welcoming (thanks for the welcome drink!) and the cafe downstairs is very cozy. In fact, it was the best breakfast I had anywhere, let alone a hostel! The bathroom was clean, large, and shower worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend.

We did not meet the staff as we arrived pretty late. But the staff from the bar downstairs were AMAZING!!! They showed us the way, served even when they were closing and even invited us to a local celebration ! 🤩
