It was very cozy, tasteful, and perfectly equipped. There was everything we could need. We loved its location in a quiet north coast area. The sound of the ocean did not bother us at all, we liked it, we could sleep there very well. The owners were very attentive, a bottle of good wine, fruits, biscuits, a bottle of milk, cornflakes and other courtesies of the house were waiting for us. The restaurants they recommended were very good. My only surprise was an additional fee of 40€ for late check-in (at 23:00). Unfortunately, we could not manage to arrive sooner since the flight schedule.

The common kitchen is super clean and there is a lot of space , however the is a cute terrace where we had our breakfast. The property is really close to the beach , to the restaurants and the super market.

Located in Funchal and with Marina do Funchal reachable within 2 km, FX Pena provides a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. We had an amazing stay at this hotel during our trip to Madeira! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms and facilities were spotless, and the atmosphere was peaceful, perfect for relaxation. The location was also good—convenient and close to everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Bed linen and towel included in price. Great location 5 mins from city center. Very helpful staff. Highly recommend and would like to stay there again.

The location of the hostel is very good and central, the hostel is located in one of the bussiest streets full of restaurants, and just a couple of minutes from the sea. The hostel itself is cozy and the kitchen is suitable for cooking. I also was lucky to meet a lot of cool people there! Christina, the manager of the hostel and the receptionist, was the best, really. She was very friendly and helpful ever since I started my trip there, but she also did everything in one “emergency” situation once my and my friend’s flights were cancelled and we didn’t have a place to stay for the extra four nights. Even though theorically the hostel was fully booked, she manage to find a cancellation and gave us a room. She was trully a very caring and helpful person which I was very happy about! The other person in the hostel’s reception was also very nice.

Amazing location with direct view of the sea from the balcony. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful with any of our requests. The actual room was much nicer than the pictures in the listing.

Amazing staff, trust and non problematic atmosphere. The smoothest check in. I met there fanatic people, that straight away became my family. I got a single bed in mixed dorm that was super comfy and i have enough privacy.
