This was truly the perfect stop on the camino. The hosts are very kind and helpful, the house and garden are great and very well planned. The pilgrims dinner (12€) was very good and filling, just what you need after a day of walking. I highly recommend booking if you are walking this route.

Clean, comfortable, welcoming and an amazing hostess. Close to restaurants and grocery store. My wife and I stayed here during our Camino and it is right on the route. Great value for the price.

Lovely hostel with the lovliest still hostess:) The whole place is well kept, clean and with well equipped kitchen. The beds are comfy and the number of bathrooms was enough to have a comfortable access to them. It was my first time in a hostel and it was a great experience. I strongly recommend.

The location was central and beautiful, with stunning views out the window. The beds were made of sturdy wood, with curtains, outlets, lamps, and very comfortable mattresses. They provided fluffy towels and bedding. There were maybe 6-8 beds on my floor and two full bathrooms, which was really nice. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the shared spaces were cute. I appreciated the lockers for packs. They also offered items in house that you may need for an extra charge (e.g. laundry, special beverages, snacks, locally made shells for your pack, etc.). I purchased a shell here that I cherish! I would come back to stay here even if just traveling or wanting to show someone how stunning Valenca is. Also, the host was very friendly and took the extra time to give guidance for the Camino the next day, restaurants, etc.

The House of Sandeman nằm ở thành phố Vila Nova de Gaia, trong tòa nhà lịch sử của hầm rượu vang Port Wine Cellars of Sandeman. Perfect in every sense! I don’t know how they do it, but it is a lively hostel with a wonderful mix of young and old travelers. A lot of energy, but sooooo quiet at night. Loved my stay!
