At the hostel, the rooms have a wardrobe. Complete with a private bathroom fitted with a bidet and free toiletries, all rooms at Casa da Fonte - Gerês have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and selected rooms also boast a balcony. Carla keeps the place immaculate. Our room was very clean and modern. Had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was very good. Carla provided us with recommendations on places to see and where to hike. Very nice and affectionate cat, which stays outside. However need a car to get here. There is a wonderful place for dinner by the bridge which is a short walk away. We had dinner there all 3 nights. Lovely stay.

The food is amazing, the staff are awesome and so friendly and helpful, the room was so clean, everything smelled like new and fresh. I admire the hostel it was really really good! Definitely return here again!!!! Hopefully more than once.

At HI Geres - Pousada de Juventude do Gerês guests may book accommodation in private twin and family rooms, dormitories and even a full 2-bedroom bungalow. Dormitories and family rooms have access to shared bathroom facilities, while all other units feature their own private bathroom. By far one of the best places I've stayed. Very clean and calm, reception service very nice (Catia thank you very much for your kindness) and awesome views to mountains from there. Besides that breakfast was super good. And is not expensive at all. I recommend 100%, definitely a place to go. How to go : Bus stop is 5min walking from there. But be careful if you come from Braga city, you need to take bus 200 (direction campo do gerês) cause it's the only bus that takes you there.
