Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Youth Hostel Proteus Postojna is situated in Postojna, 900 metres from Karst Museum Postojna. Free private parking is available on site. Good location, in a small forest park. Very friendly staff. The room comes with lockers and lock keys (usually in hostels you have to have your own padlock or buy one on spot). It's basically a student dorm turned into a hostel summertime.

Super friendly and helpful staff, nice cosy place close to the caves but not too close. Loved the patio where we had both breakfast and dinner. Overall a really positive experience! Recommend downloading the TototaGO app which gives you access to really cheap (approx €2,5/person) rides to eg Divaca and Lipica. Breakfast was super tasty!

Me and my family of seven stayed one night. It was just what we needed to rest after a long journey. We really liked the cleanliness of the hostel. Good-natured hostess. It was great that there was a washing machine and everything we needed in the kitchen.
