This doesn’t feel like a hotel or hostel at all, it feels like home. I came here with a serious leg injury I had same day morning. Tharita (also known as DK Mama) took so good care of me- ordered food every time I was hungry and very good tasty food and super reasonably priced. She got me ice cubes to treat the injury and then also medicine from pharmacy. The place itself is so cool, it has kitchen, coffee, water all the time to your disposal. And then the dorms and beds are so homelike. They have this long cylindrical pillow (it was such a help for me to rest my knee at night) on every bed and even linen feels like home linen and not those typical hotel linen. The balcony adds additional touch. And the locality is so friendly again. And just 100 mts from property, there is convenience store and a huge food market where you can enjoy local Thai food at super reasonable price. And Tharita worships Buddha and she also has lord Ganesha and Laxmi which was an additional reason for me to feel home. I stayed here for 3 nights and would definitely return in future.

Great little hostel in a really quiet area of Koh Samui away from the crowds. Lovely owner who is so kind and helpful! Use of shared kitchen and a fabulous swimming pool. Room was bright and very clean!

Pannita is the perfect host, so sweet and involved, and always makes sure everyone is happy. She makes the perfect atmosphere, especially if you're a solo traveler.

It had all you need for comfortable stay. It was also cleaned by request during our long stay. Common kitchen well equipped, had mixer, microwave, toaster, rice cooker and gas stove with all utilities. I cooked breakfasts and sometimes even dinners there. Plenty areas where you can chill in common area. Good WiFi. Location is quiet and a bit distant from supermarkets, atm and exchange. But stuff was very accommodating and helped us with the ride for very friendly price. Also you can rent a scooter and it will be very convenient. There are few nice restaurants in a walking distance, beach is 400 meters from the place. It’s ok to swim in the evening, but in the morning time ebb tide is strong and you will need swimming shoes to go through line of stones to reach water. Overall we had great stay there.

Best hostel I’ve stayed at, the owner and staff are amazing. The beds are the comfiest I’ve slept in for a while and there’s a big common area that has beanbags, TVs with PlayStation 5s and plenty of fans to keep you cool. The hostel is also very close to everything you need, there’s a night market and 7/11 a 1 minute walk away.

The owners are very friendly and kind. They assisted with everything. A friend had an accident with the scooter and they took care of everything. Laundry service available. Good position. Powerful A/C. They could provide better cloth storage or a mirror in the room in the future, but they just opened a month aho and i think they‘re coming up with that.

Located in Bangrak, Samui Backpacker Hotel is a 1-minute walk from a pier that can take guests to Ko Phangan and the famous full moon parties. Honestly, aside from this being such an incredibly low price, everything was great quality. Rooms are kept well and renovated … our private room was well ventilated, clean and has been maintained well. The staff was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. The community is great. The food is affordable and good! Loved their smoothies and their Tom Kha Ga (one of the best Tom Kha I have ever had in my life). I was expecting to get something of lower quality for the price, but this hostel exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again if I am back in the area.
