The highlight of this hostel is the owner, DK Mama. This place feels like a home away from home while traveling. It’s a ten minute walk from the beach, a fifteen minute walk from the mall and other shops. There is a small market and 7/11 just down the street as well. The showers and beds are comfortable but not glamorous, don’t come expecting luxury. There is not necessarily a designated common room, but people socialize in the lobby. There’s a kitchen for you to prepare your own food. I loved this hostel so much, I extended my stay and am planning to come back :)

Therefore i can just say thank you, for your wonderfull teamspirit. May it be the endearing Chaw who has the empathy to share heartwarming laughs with good feelings. Yet also offers smart advice for your trip, professionalism when it comes to questions regarding the hotel and sharp comments - if you let her. The all knowing, almost tour guide niveau Gerome from philippines, who knows everything about the island Kho Samui. May it be the way to the ferry, the bus stations, the time of traffic or locations to eat, enjoy or meet friends. But don't forget about the rest of the team. The kitchen handles your order excellent. There are even fresh croissants every morning. Since i've been to france this year, they can stand the comparisson. Also it is very clean everywhere. Been in other hostels and hotels so far. Still, this one stands out. If you work a lot and want to relax, the Rock is your place to go. Of course bigger or even party beaches are just a shortly away. But who wants to go there, when you can have a private beach with your friends? When we were at holiday, one tourist even fell to the ground unconscious. The team called emergency immedeatly and even visited the unlucky solo traveller afterwards in hospital. In short: They genuinly care for you as a guest. Something, you can't find everywhere in the world.

The place is lovely, clean, bright, and homey. It feels really comfortable, the beds are great with plenty of space, and the towels were really soft! Pannita is the perfect host, so sweet and involved, and always makes sure everyone is happy. She makes the perfect atmosphere, especially if you're a solo traveler.

It had all you need for comfortable stay. It was also cleaned by request during our long stay. Common kitchen well equipped, had mixer, microwave, toaster, rice cooker and gas stove with all utilities. I cooked breakfasts and sometimes even dinners there. Plenty areas where you can chill in common area. Good WiFi. Location is quiet and a bit distant from supermarkets, atm and exchange. But stuff was very accommodating and helped us with the ride for very friendly price. Also you can rent a scooter and it will be very convenient. There are few nice restaurants in a walking distance, beach is 400 meters from the place. It’s ok to swim in the evening, but in the morning time ebb tide is strong and you will need swimming shoes to go through line of stones to reach water. Overall we had great stay there.

Best hostel I’ve stayed at, the owner and staff are amazing. The beds are the comfiest I’ve slept in for a while and there’s a big common area that has beanbags, TVs with PlayStation 5s and plenty of fans to keep you cool. The hostel is also very close to everything you need, there’s a night market and 7/11 a 1 minute walk away.

The owners are very friendly and kind. They assisted with everything. A friend had an accident with the scooter and they took care of everything. Laundry service available. Good position. Powerful A/C. They could provide better cloth storage or a mirror in the room in the future, but they just opened a month aho and i think they‘re coming up with that.

Located in Bangrak, Samui Backpacker Hotel is a 1-minute walk from a pier that can take guests to Ko Phangan and the famous full moon parties. The owner and all the staff are really nice and willing to help you. Also it is really good vibed and perfect to meet new persons.
