Fruits is abundant (watermelon and papaya during my stay). Instant coffee and couple of variates of a Tanzanian tea are an option as well. Juice is available also.

The hostel is super close to the beach, just a 2 minutes walk. The staff were kind and helpful, always ready with local tips. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas had a really relaxed vibe, great for meeting other travelers. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and the kitchen was handy if you wanted to cook. Overall, it felt welcoming and easygoing, with the beach right around the corner. I’d definitely stay again! Overall, this hostel offered the ideal mix of comfort, convenience, and community. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly, affordable place close to the beach.

Great location only 5-10 minute walk from key sites like depo for Nakupenda Sandbank, Slave exhibition, Darajani Bazaar & the Freddie Mercury house. As it is in the centre of Stonetown it is also only 10mins from the airport. Can see the sea from there. Super nice host who was so lovely and accommodating. I booked it last min, the night before and messaged asking could I leave my luggage before a tour. She messaged instantly and left me in, even though I arrived even earlier than expected at 7.15am. She ensures your comfort and gives advice for tours/ restaurants. Private beds with curtains. Each bed also has a modern socket with USB & AC adapters. There are lockers with keys. Very new, just 4 months. There’s a kitchen area and bookings are blocked to make sure that there are not too many people in the room, but allow for more if travelling in one big group.

Super close to the beach and I was surprised that their kitchen had super delicious food that is not expensive. The staff and owner immediately make you feel at home and after staying in many hostels around Tanzania I’d say this was one of my experiences! Would definitely love to come back!

Our stay at Stone Town House will be definitely be remembered as one of our best ones in Zanzibar. We booked the triple bed private bedroom with a shared bathroom. The room was clean, the air-conditioning worked perfect, each bed had a socket, a curtain for privacy and fresh towels. There was ample space in the room for our suitcases and the bathrooms were well maintained. Ten points for Mr. Simon, the gentleman managing the hotel who went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, offered us a large complimentary water bottle and gave us lovely handmade soaps upon leaving. The location is ideal and safe which was a plus point for an all girls group.
