Situated just a 15-minute walk from Central Beach, Nothando Backpackers Lodge features a garden, shared lounge area and fireplace for BBQs. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Everything is amazing there. The owners are the kindest people I've ever met. I traveled in more than 115 countries but I've never met so nice people. The room was very clean, comfortable.. Vinthi, the owner, is the entire day around, she helped me with a lot of things. She even asked her husband to give me a lift early in the morning. The area is very safe, we walked every night to the restaurants. I highly recommend this place.

All of the staff were very kind and friendly. The room was nice than I expected. You really don't need to leave because a restaurant, small store, and the beach are literally right there! If you don't want to swim in the big waves, a small calm lagoon is a short walk down the beach.

Bordering the Wildeness National Park, Fairy Knowe Backpackers Lodge features a garden equipped with BBQ facilities. Guests will find a bar on site and can make use of the shared kitchen. I have stayed in hundreds of backpacker's lodges around the world, but this one is the best. The location is unrivaled - you are surrounded by stunning nature. There are milkwood trees that are hundreds of years old and many beautiful birds have chosen this part of the indigenous forest as their home. The staff are truly wonderful and make everyone feel like family. The bar often has live musicians and the accommodation building is a 150 year old Victorian gem. There are also private chalets with en suite bathrooms. There is a spectacular national park within walking distance and kayaks can be rented to explore the nearby river. This place has it all, but the unique atmosphere is why I'll definitely be back.

What makes this place extra special is Debbie, the manager. She goes out and beyond to make sure that the guest is extremely satisfied. She even took me on a hike and had her friend drive me around because I didn't have a car. Thank you Debbie for making my stay here feel like home. I recommend this place to any backpacker and wouldn't stay anywhere else whenever I visit Plattenburg. As for the accommodation itself, it's very clean and you have everything that you need.

Surrounded by nature, Tube 'n Axe Backpackers is located in Storms River Village, 14 km from Tsitsikamma National Park. This property is incredible. I stayed in the dorm, the bed were comfortable & squeak free. Large pool, 2 HOT TUBS!!!!!!! Beautiful social firepit area and a restaurant all in one area. Clean & tidy surrounded by the national park.
