The beautiful Rosental is surrounded by beautiful mountains and crystal-clear lakes. In the mountains above Ferlach you will find everything from easy hiking trails for families (Hainschgraben water adventure trail, Bodental fairytale meadow, the Freibachweg) to the summit trails such as the Hochobir - or the Freibergweg for all hikers. But experienced mountaineers or climbers will also not miss out on their vacation here: the "Neu" Koschutnikturm via ferrata or the most demanding via ferrata in the Karawanks, the Lärchenturm. There is also something for swimming enthusiasts here: in the middle of untouched nature lies the Ressnig bathing lake approx. 2 km away and the Freibach reservoir - approx. 8 km away. Not only water rats are attracted by the crystal-clear water, fishermen can also make excellent catches here. The wonderful Wörthersee is approx. 20 km away. The Tscheppaschlucht is located nearby and is a must-visit on holiday - this gorge is particularly impressive with its rocky and steep gorges and rushing waterfalls. A very well-developed climbing park offers an unforgettable experience for young and old. For a skiing holiday, the Bodental is about 14 km away. The Bodental is a skiing and winter sports area for the whole family. Two drag lifts and a platter lift for children characterise the small family ski area. Here you can ski on the perfectly groomed slopes, or go cross-country skiing on the fairytale meadow, snowshoe hiking or glide into the valley on a snowboard. And for the romantics, a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh is a good option. When the snow conditions are good, the Ferlach cross-country ski trail is right on your doorstep.
