'A home from home' is how our first guests described their visit so we knew our hard work had paid off! All subsequent guests have written great reviews in our guest book and on Trip Advisor so we're very happy we made the move. We turned an old workshop into a large and comfortable lounge complete with wood-burning stove and sourced the most amazing sofas to relax in at the end of a day in the mountains. Both family rooms have baths as well as showers so its easier to care for little ones as well as offering mum a nice long soak later on. We have a 65" TV with games consoles to occupy the older kids (and sometimes dad's too) as well as a library of books and films for guests to borrow. Its important to us that everyone gets a good night sleep. It helps that our hamlet of Stranach is quiet but we also have a selection of pillows and comfy mattresses and throws to make sure you wake up fully refreshed and ready for a great day out.

We left our UK life behind in 2014 and spent a year renovating our beautiful 19th Century farmhouse in gorgeous St Michael, Lungau. We worked for 2 years running alpine chalets for large holiday companies, constantly asking guests they want and look for to make a great holiday so we had a good idea what we wanted to achieve for our own place. Coming from a large Irish family Clare learned to cook and bake from a young age and never knowingly underfeeds. Ben is an experienced skier and a great source of local information as well as being a trained ski technician. We are happy to help with any ski hire or lesson bookings. Dinner (a set menu, 3 course meal) can be booked on-site on any evening except Wednesday which is our night off and we like to go night skiing in winter!
