Do you need a break from the hectic city life and constant noise? Experience the silence of nature, surrounded by green pastures and forests. You can walk along the small river, explore the forest with the children, watch deer, hear them roar in autumn, and otherwise just enjoy the peace and quiet. Entire farm in a picturesque setting in the styrian mountains off the beaten track. The place is easily reachable by car (1.5 hours from the next airport), yet remote enough to guarantee you a relaxing detox weekend in pure nature, surrounded by pastures, forests, and water. The chalet was remodelled in 2019, sleeps up to 12 people, and is fully equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and 3 bedrooms with wonderful views of the surrounding nature. The living room offers a rustic farm-style table and a tiled-stove for cosy heat whilst eating with your family and/or family. On sunny days there is plenty space in the surrounding garden to use the coal-grill and the garden-chairs and table for a delicious bbq, and a fire-pit to use in the evenings. A fire pit offers an excellent possibility to enjoy the evening with a warm fire, surrounded by mountains and a small river.

After working and studying in 8 countries across 3 continents I moved back to my beautiful home country to enjoy the nature and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I inherited the former farmhouse from my parents and remodelled it in 2019. When my wife Sarah, who grew up in a mountain valley herself, and I are not there to relax and detox from the city life in Graz, I rent it out so others can also experience the calmness and beauty of untouched nature and enjoy an unforgettable visit off the beaten track.

On average, there is one car per hour driving by on the road in front of the house - perfect for your relaxing trip into the mountains. Pusterwald is a small village with a population of around 500 people, located in the Wölzer Tauern, a subrange of the Austrian Central Alps. The chalet is 7km outside of the village, situated in a breathtaking scenery, surrounded by mountains, forests, pastures, and rivers. The area is largely unknown to mainstream tourism, which make it a real hidden gem within Austria. Nevertheless the area offers a range of fabulous hikes to mountain peaks with 2400m of altitude, incredible views, and the chance to truly wind down from a hectic urban life. Yet the place is easily reachable by car, and the next grocery store, gas station, doctor, bank, and bakery are only a 15min drive away. A major shopping center is only 35 min drive away. Further, there are operated mountain huts (20-40min by car), two swimming ponds in (20-30min) driving distance, and a public swimming pool in 40min driving.
