We have lived and worked on four continents and traveled extensively, finally settling in Australia. We found Maleny purely by chance and fell in love with everything it has to offer and love that we are able to share this special part of the world with others.

Bunya is a newly renovated two-bedroom, two-bathroom brick house set in a 5-acre property on a hillside surrounded by parkland and mature trees. The property is close to town, the golf course and Baroon Pocket Dam. The entrance leads you into the light filled large lounge with fireplace and French doors overlooking the patio and front garden. Next door is the dining room with sash windows and fireplace and adjacent to the full kitchen with all necessary appliances and ample storage and bench space. On the ground floor is the master bedroom with its own ensuite with shower, bedroom 2 and the family bathroom. The wrap around patio allows for two outdoor entertainment areas: the back for dining with access to the kitchen and the front through the lounge doors, for sitting, playing and relaxing with access to the garden. Bunya has its own 2-car carport adjacent to the house. Enough wood for the fireplace is provided for the cold winter nights during your stay, and there is a reverse-cycle air conditioner in the living area, and in bedroom 1. There is an abundance of bird and wildlife on the property, including a vast variety of birds (kookaburras, galahs, black & sulfur crested cockatoos, currawong, herons, white egrets, king parrots, lorikeets and cat birds, to name a few), and wallabies, echidnas, bandicoots, possums and our pasture-fed free-range bantam chickens. We provide a delicious breakfast basket filled with local and home-made produce. From freshly baked bread, croissants and pastries to eggs from our chickens and fresh local seasonal fruit to milk and yoghurt from Maleny's award-winning dairy and cheese factory. We do allow pets, with an additional pet fee, and dogs must be kept on leash when on the property outside Bunya's fenced garden area due to the bird and wildlife.

Maleny is a popular hinterland tourist destination. The town is close to everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer, but still manages to retain it's unique "village" charm. In recent years Maleny has become well known as a health retreat and wedding destination. There are a number of markets nearby (including the famous Eumundi Market) and we are only 20 minutes away from Australia Zoo and 40 minutes to Kings Beach. There are also award winning (and famous) local producers and some fantastic eateries and unique shops in Maleny town centre.
