My husband Michael and I love living in Tasmania with our panoramic river views of the Tamar River Valley. We have travelled the world for over 20 years as expatriates and now appreciate the scenery and stress free environment we find just outside our front door. Our benchmark for a guest experience is what we would like to find when we arrive at our holiday destination, a home away from home. Having lived in Grindewald 15years and travelled throughout Tasmania we are able to pass on local knowledge. We also own and manage up to 8 apartments on the Tamar Ridge Winery Complex, where we offer the same high standard of accommodation, being only a phone call or text message away with an emphasis on the best value for our guests. We offer self Contained winery Chalet Apartments which are a 20 minute drive from CBD Launceston, Beaconsfield and within a morning drive of most of the scenic attractions in Northern Tasmania. We are not a hotel. We do not offer a hotel service experience, guests need to be able to communicate with our staff, to be given directions and assistance. This is a Rural Tasmania experiences that comes with wildlife, therefore if a skink or small crawling insect could be a problem, you need to be self reliant to remove. Grindelwald is a unique place not only in Tasmania but Australia. One man's vision to create a Swiss Village atmosphere and very scenic location. Prime location overlooking the Tamar River and a very central location to do day trips in 4 different direction to visit northern Tasmania. More than enough to see and do for a 4-7 night stay. Visit the Swiss Village at Tamar Valley resort 1 km uphill from the apartment. There is a newsagent, coffee shop, beauty shop and restaurant. Within 3 klms there are 3 restaurants and 5 klms to large Woolworth open until 10pm.
