Nestled in the foothills of Mount Mangana in Adventure Bay, Birdsong is a peaceful bush retreat with a breathtaking view. The house is secluded yet only a short drive from the main townships of Adventure Bay and Allonah on South Bruny Island. It's the perfect getaway for couples or small families. Birdsong comes equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing holiday - be it a winter break snuggling in front of the fire with a good book, a summer beach escape, or an exploration of southern Bruny. The property has two bedrooms - the Master with a queen bed and the second bedroom with two king single beds (in bunks). With an open plan kitchen and lounge opening to the large outdoor deck, you can sit back and soak in the peaceful bushland surrounding, looking out across Adventure Bay. You can also explore the 10.5 hectare property via the network of tracks weaving through the bush and rainforest. Children are welcome and the house is well equipped with toys, books and games. Parents of toddlers should be aware there is a drop of 80cm off the deck. Please ask at the time of booking if you would like to bring your pet. The main area surrounding the home is fully fenced and includes an outdoor bath, fire pit and table tennis table. Fire wood and kindling are provided for the indoor wood heater and outdoor fire pit. A portacot and high chair are available on request. An outdoor 32 amp, 3 pin powerpoint is available should you have a portable fast charger for your car. There is also an easily accessible outdoor 10amp powerpoint for regular chargers.

We (Katharine and Peter) are parents to two teenagers and two miniature sausage dogs. We have loved spending time on Bruny island since our childhoods, and enjoy sharing this piece of paradise with guests from around Tasmania, Australia, and beyond. As well as enjoying the Bruny Island fresh air and bird watching, our other interests include playing hockey and real tennis, and travelling. We will not be available in person during your stay, but can be reached by phone or email 24/7. We have plenty of contacts on the island available to help in person if needed.

Birdsong sits up on the hill in a magical secluded setting, surrounded by rainforest and beautiful bushland, with a stunning view over Adventure Bay. Bruny Island's many sights are very accessible; the townships of Adventure Bay and Allonah and their beaches are only 10 minutes drive, and there are many other sights to see within a short drive.
