Port Albert is a picturesque and quite little port in the heart of Gippsland. As the oldest port in Gippsland the town features quaint historical buildings and is home to award winning Port Albert Maritime Museum. Walk the harbour path around the sheltered bay or explore the Christopher Robinson Walking Trail and Nooramunga National Marine Park - part of Ramsar wetlands, sites of worldwide ecological importance and important feeding, nesting and breeding ground for thousands of waterbirds. Kangaroos frequent this path at dusk so be sure to bring your camera along. Nearby Yarram provides most major services and features award winning murals by Heesco Khosnaran creating "Heesco Town Yarram". Tarra-Bulga National Park, Agnes Falls, Ninety Mile Beach and Wilsons Promontory are all centrally located from Port Albert.
