Each apartment has a well-equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining area, queen bed in the main bedroom and two singles in the other. Our apartments provide ideal accommodation in Strahan, for small groups, families, couples or solo travellers, for weekend getaways, or leisurely holidays with family or friends. They are a perfect base to come back to after a day out exploring, or a space to take time out to relax and unwind. Unlimited internet access is available in all apartments, and we have a complimentary DVD and Games Library for your use during your stay. A Guest Laundry is situated onsite with a front loader washing machine (detergent supplied) and separate dryer all for a minimal charge. If dining in is an option for you, IGA is just 150m from our front door where you can purchase supplies to prepare meals in your fully equipped kitchen. There is garden space to relax in our Guest Barbeque Area with a Tasmanian wine, beer or cider available from Reception. A short 5-minute stroll will take you to the town centre where you will find the Information Centre, wharf, cruise boat terminals, restaurants and cafes. We suggest a minimum stay of 3 nights to allow you time to experience Strahan’s attractions and to explore Strahan and more of what the West Coast Wilderness has to offer.

Strahan is a picturesque harbour-side town on Tasmania's West Coast, approximately 300km (5hrs driving time) from Hobart, and 270km (4hrs driving time) from Launceston. The drive from both main centres is spectacular, with magnificent rainforests, mountain peaks, lakes and historical buildings welcoming you at every turn. Tasmanian roads on the west coast are notoriously winding, so best not rushed! Known for its rich history and stunning natural beauty, Strahan serves as a gateway to the rugged wilderness of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, making it a captivating destination for travellers exploring Tasmania. Strahan's population is approximately 700, but swells considerably during peak season in the summer months. Autumn, we think, is also a fabulous time to visit. Although we can't guarantee the weather, when the sun shines and the air is cool and crisp, with no wind, the days are magical! Local attractions include: - cruise on Macquarie Harbour to Hells Gates and back into the tranquil waters of the Gordon River, showcasing ancient rainforests and mirrored reflections. Stop at Sarah Island for a guided tour of it's notorious penal settlement past (World Heritage Cruises or Gordon River Cruises) - ride the scenic heritage railway with commentary on the region's rich mining history (West Coast Wilderness Railway) - be entertained by Australia's longest running theatre production of a true story "The Ship That Never Was" (The Round Earth Company) - take a relatively easy walk from People's Park along a trail through the rainforest to beautiful Hogarth Falls. Keep an eye out for the elusive resident platypus! - drive approx. 5km to Ocean Beach, the expansive and often wild beach, perfect for a bracing walk and watching dramatic sunsets over the Southern Ocean. There are several restaurants in Strahan and we highly recommend making a reservation to avoid missing out. Weather in Strahan can be unpredictable, so pack a warm jacket, even in Summer!
