There are plenty of cellar doors to explore in nearby Moffatdale (20-minute drive) & Kingaroy – if you can tear yourself away from this private oasis. Sample award winning food and wines, wet a line in one of the area’s dams or waterways (Bjelke Petersen Dam or Boondooma Dam or even drop a line in the nearby Byee Weir), visit a weekend market, browse through art galleries and museums, follow the heritage rail trail, participate in a park run, explore Boat Mountain Conservation Park (don't forget to look up to spot a koala), just to name a few…. Dining options include the Murgon Services Club, Wondai's recently refurbished Hotel 1903, Murgon Motor Inn, Royal or Australian Hotels in Murgon. Just 15 minutes to Murgon, 45 minutes to Kingaroy, 3 hours to Brisbane and is the ideal location for the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival, Murgon Music Muster, Wondai Garden Expo and the regular park runs.
