I have enjoyed creating the relaxed outback farm atmosphere and accommodation here. I expect people to come as they are and they can expect the same from me. After a long day a GnT never goes astray. I'm an ex foodie who lived in Paris for 2 years while working for the UN and loves using Australian and especially QLD ingredients - my cooking always hits the spot. I enjoy showing the over 8's to make varieties of pasta, butter, a range of pastries for different dishes and sometimes we dabble in soft cheese making or kombucha. As an ex teacher ,and at times, guiding at Perth Zoo, I am keen to pass on all that I know about the animals, domestic and wildlife, to children in particular and also help anyone with reservations about animals to look at them through different eyes. My communication is frank and open and isn't always appreciated at first but I'm genuine and speak directly about a subject when I need to and aim to demonstrate good values like inclusivity and authenticity. As a hostess I will do my utmost to meet your needs, even learning how to cook a new dish if it's a favourite. Ensuring all guests are comfortable and enjoying themselves is ,after all, my job.

Queensland fish, Goat and lamb from our property are available. As a developing eco-village day work continues as well. The grasslands, sky and stars are spectacular in Nelia. We are 50kms to Julia Creek and 100kms to Richmond. Many cattle stations are just a short trip away, while we are in a developing eco village our goats and poultry as out only direct neighbours Seasonal swimming and fishing at local waterholes are seasonal , or night hunting are possible if enough notice is given.
