Opened in June 2021 Crab Cottages on the Seafront offers luxury accommodation opposite a very quiet beach at Urangan at the Eastern end of Hervey Bay’s Esplanade. The Esplanade at this point is a cul-de-sac with one side road so traffic noise is minimal. A lovely green shady park sits beside the walkway to the beach which offers shade just above high water and is leash free for pups from 3pm to 8am. The Cottages are all pet friendly and have their own exclusive fenced grass areas as well as very spacious decks. Free boat parking is also available and the Cottages are located only 600 metres from the 8 lane Hervey Bay Boat Club boat ramp. Mud Crab Cottage and Sand Crab Cottage offer 2 large bedrooms with super king beds in one and two singles in the other bedroom. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms. Soldier Crab Cottage is a very large one bedroom cottage with all the features of its larger cousins. Each cottage has its own private use BBQ and laundry and furnishings are luxurious. Please note THE ENTIRE PROPERTY IS A SMOKE FREE ZONE. That means no smoking inside or outside the cottages. Wifi is offered free but can be unreliable at this location.

The neighbourhood is very quiet with the nearest shopping centre and supermarket 1.5 km and the Marina with bars, restaurants, the Hervey Bay Boat Club and major boat ramp about 600 metres distant. Both are close enough yet far enough. The Hervey Bay Marina is the departure point for nearly all of the Whale Watch and Fraser excursion tours. Favourite walks are along the adjacent marina sea wall or to the famous Urangan Pier. The latter is mostly shaded and about 25 minutes each way. Note there are no shops, restaurants or bars in the immediate vicinity. Several dining options are available at the Marina and Boat Club and there are a number of delivery options. PLEASE NOTE: Crab Cooker Cottage is located approx 15 minutes out of Hervey Bay at River Heads. All other Crab Cottages are located at 650 Esplanade, Urangan.
