Located on the border of the World Heritage-listed Crater Lakes National Park, these cottages are surrounded by rainforest with wildlife on the doorstep. Each cottage has a spa bath and a private deck with BBQ. Each of the Crater Lakes Rainforest Cottages has a fully self-contained kitchen, dining area and log fire. The lounge area includes a leather sofa, a TV and DVD player. Guests have free access to shared laundry and a covered deck area with waterfall, pond and seating. All cottages have their own covered car parking space. Crater Lakes Rainforest Cottages Yungaburra are only 700 metres from the shores of Lake Eacham. It is a 10-minute drive to the restaurants in Yungaburra village. Cairns International Airport is 73 km away.

Crater Lakes Rainforest Cottages is a place where the wildlife comes to you. Relax on your deck and feed the cute pademelons that come up to see you, and the rainforest birds. You might be lucky to see the male Victorias Riflebird performing his mating dance right in front of you. The cottage themselves are fantastic as well, lots of personal touches, with everything that you will need. Plus the wood fire for winter, and spa bath for extra relaxation.
We were drawn to this property because of the beautiful rainforest setting and close distance to Lake Eacham. But it is the wildlife that has mesmerized us. Nothing is more relaxing than watching the wildlife.
The Atherton Tablelands is a great place to visit. Rolling green hills, and lakes and waterfalls formed from a volcanic past. There are lots of natural attractions to visit, and wonderful scenery, with little historic townships dotted in between.
