Gumtree on Gillies B&B is situated just outside the picturesque village of Yungaburra on a 40 acres rural property. Ten acres of gardens and fruit trees surround the accommodation areas. Feel free to wander the gardens and pick an orange or two. A walking track across our property leads to the Peterson Creek walking track and to the village. You may be lucky to spot a Platypus or a Tree Kangaroo on your way. Our rooms are large, luxurious and unique double rooms for two guests with private entrances and outside sitting areas. The rooms are beautifully decorated in individual themes. They have tea and coffee making facilities and a private ensuite with double spa. The Australian Charme room has a kitchenette. All rooms have an open fire place for the cooler winter evenings.

We have run this B&B simce 2005 and feel privileged to live in this beautiful part of the world. We are happy to share our knowledge of the region and provide advice on what to do and see in the area. We are conscious of the environment and have installed a 10 kW solar system on our roofs generating our own electricity. We have planted about 10,000 trees on our property to create habitat for wildlife, in particular the endangered Lumholtz Tree Kangaroo.

Gumtree on Gillies B&B is central to all Atherton Tablelands' attractions and offers the ideal place from which to discover paradise! Destinations include: the Curtain Fig Tree, the Crater Lakes Eacham and Barrine, Lake Tinaroo, the Herberton Historic Village, bushwalking trails, towns full of history, waterfalls, even the rainforest village of Kuranda is an easy day trip from Yungaburra. During summer, the more temperate climate of the Atherton Tablelands provides a welcome relief from the heat and humidity of the coast. During ‘winter’, the cool nights are the perfect excuse to snuggle up in front of your private open fire.
