We purchased this property on the 1st of October 2021, just as Melbourne was coming out of lockdown number 5,332 !!!! It was a run down, untidy, overgrown mess when we moved in. We have worked so hard to improve the property and to create a very special place for our guests to come, sit & relax! We have made our property and adult only getaway. (this means ADULTS ONLY!) Our home is situated at the entrance to the property, where we live with our 2 dogs and 2 cats! From the front of each of the cottages, you will see our rare Persian Sheep (and a few adoptees!) and our mother alpaca and her 2 daughters, who do a fine job at protecting the flock. Fred is our new addition whomis a bundle of laughs. We are still in the process of rejuvenating the property with a much needed makeover, with the view of creating secluded private spaces for all to enjoy. I enjoy gardening (although I have much to learn!)and creating 'rooms' in the garden with a lot of native plants to encourage the birdlife & beneficial insects. This is what we are currently working on. Adrian is a tradie who enjoys tinkering, so his knowledge in the use of different materials, is perfect this project; and whilst it is enormous, is just what we love doing. We know you are going to love it here!

It has the most peaceful landscape to help recharge your batteries, gorgeous well maintained cottages and gardens, as well a BBQ area and fire pit for you to sit around and enjoy (fire pit closed during summer due to potential bushfires) Come, Sit, Relax! The area is mostly a dairy farming country with some cropping, sheep farming and the occasional alpaca or three. Our property is surrounded by jersey cows who are extremely inquisitive! We occasionally have a couple of free loaders break through to eat our grassy paddock, which I dont mind at all! Maple Ridge Cottages located in the hills away from any shopping precincts, yet it is the perfect central location for all of your travel plans. It is located central (15mins) to Leongatha, Mirboo North & Meeniyan, where you can shop for your needs and is only around an hour to Wilsons Prom, 90 mins to Phillip Island or travel north east to the old historical mining town of Walhalla, around 80 minutes away. Of course, we have quaint little towns to explore in the area such as Fish Creek, Loch & Foster to name but a few. There are many fantastic walks to waterfalls such as Agnes Falls as well as the rail trail which will take you through the beautiful lush farmland of South Gippsland. Beaches such as Tidal River, Waratah Bay & Sandy Beach are definitely worth a visit! Wilsons Prom is an hour away & Phillip Island is about an hour away.
