Mersey River Cottage. Circa 1888. This fully restored three story cottage is centrally located in the CBD of Devonport. With Ocean and harbour views including the Spirit of Tasmania and the working port it is in full view. The property has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge, dining, full kitchen, laundry facilities, upstairs sitting area, two verandahs, Bbque, outside patio area including seating and outdoor umbrella. This beautiful cottage is 400metres from the shops, cafes restaurants, boutiques plus a Reading Cinema.
We are passionate about historic homes in Devonport and we have spend the last 18months bringing Mersey River Cottage back to its former glory. There were originally 4 houses in this group built by Silas Bradley. We want to people stay and experience this little gem in its original size and enjoy its location and views. We have been hosting guests at our first property ( Silwood Apartment) for the last 18months and have enjoyed meeting people from all over the world. It is very important for our guests to have a positive Tasmanian experience and a feeling of wanting to return. We are gracious hosts and will try our utmost to make your stay at Mersey River Cottage a memorable one.
If you choose to base yourself in the Devonport it is quite central to do day trips around the North West and to experience many attractions that are not far away.
