Our property is a working vineyard in the beautiful Yarra Valley region of Victoria. There are views of rolling hills and surrounding vineyards, all in a quiet country setting. We are 10 minutes from Yarra Glen and Healesville which have all your shopping needs including cafes and restaurants. We are located 20 minutes from the famous Healesville Santuary and are surrounded by award winning wineries with excellent food and wine options and beautiful gardens to explore. We have opened the Yarra Valley Cooking School on our site. French and Italian seasonal cooking classes feature a three course meal and wine. We welcome invite our guests to attend by booking on the website or on the Saturdays if places are available. Full use of our commercial kitchen is available during your stay. There are several State Forests which have beautiful walks and scenery and also some popular 4WD and cycling tracks in the area.
As a host I love meeting new people from Australia and overseas. I am delighted to share our comfortable home and our 6.5 acre garden and vineyard. I am an avid gardener and book reader. In our sitting room we offer a range of books and games to entertain our visitors. It is a delight to see visitors enjoying the sunsets from the deck and cooking up a storm in our purpose built cooking school, which is available to guests upon request.
Many of our guests book our accommodation to attend the large number of wedding venues available near by. We share a fence with our neighbour, De Bortoli Winery, which has a terrific restaurant and wine tasting and cheese room. Healesville Sanctuary and The Chocolaterie are a hit with both children and adults alike. Alowyn Gardens is a delightful manicured garden, cafe and nursery just 5 minutes down the Melba Highway. There are many walks and picinc spots nearby in Toolangi and Kinglake.
