Situated in the township of Whitfield in Victoria’s North East, Nathan’s Place is right in the heart of the King Valley gourmet food and wine region.

I have strong family ties to the King Valley region. My grandfather lived in the area his entire life and my father, until his early teens, lived up the road in Moyhu. As a kid visiting the King Valley I remember helping granddad milk the cows early in the morning and spending a lot of time exploring the area. In some ways it feels as though not a lot has changed since then but in reality so much has. Tobacco farms have given way to vineyards, dairy farmers for winemakers, and bushrangers for tourists. There are many families in the King Valley contributing to the local wine industry. And their hard work is paying off, as in recent times the King Valley has been gaining in reputation as a unique wine producer of sangiovese, nebbiolo and prosecco varietals, to name but a few. My vision for Nathan’s Place is to provide clean, spacious, comfortable and relaxing accommodation for all guests to enjoy whilst they experience all the King Valley has to offer.

Nathan’s Place is only a short distance from award winning wineries and cellar doors most of whom also serve great food; Pizzini, Dal Zotto and Gracebrook to name a few. For a meal closer to home, the Mountain View Hotel (restaurant and pub) and Whitty Café (coffee and food) are a leisurely stroll away. Throughout the year, the King Valley showcases it's food and wine produce through a range of festivals, events and wine tastings or if nature’s more your thing, or you just need to dry out from the grapes for a bit, the King Valley’s natural attractions are all close by to Nathan's Place.
