Hi there! I’m a proud local of Tasmania’s beautiful northwest coast, having grown up in the charming seaside village of Somerset. I’ve always loved everything about this stretch of coast, the sea breeze, the walking trails, the tight-knit community, and of course… the fairy penguins! My husband and I own and manage a small handful of short stay properties along the coast, and we’re passionate about creating warm, memorable stays for our guests. The Beach House is especially close to our hearts. The home was built in 1919 and has been in the family for generations. We put a lot of love into renovating both the house and the little studio to give it a fresh, cozy feel while still keeping its original character. One of our favourite things about hosting here is sharing the space with the penguins, who’ve been nesting in our backyard and under the deck for the past decade. We work hard to make sure their little colony stays safe and happy and while they might wake you up with a midnight squawk, they’re truly part of what makes this place so special.
