Set within 5 acres of European gardens it features a natural swimming pool, bocci court, giant chess and coming soon, a huge and beautifully decorated, rustic shed that is perfect for special events. We offer luxury accommodation for couples, families and groups of friends catering from 2 to 14 people. The houses feature wood fireplaces, modern furnishings, very comfortable beds, original artworks and in the Lodge, a fully outfitted kitchen. The Arts Suite has a large a large variety of self catering equipment also. Every season puts on a special show here and many staying here refer to the experience as like being in Tuscany! Our own site includes loads of information about how to make the most of your stay showcasing restaurants, gourmet suppliers, things to do and what to explore. We go out of our way to support our guests to have the most memorable stay possible. Our mini dachshund twins (Daphne and Violet) will keep you entertained and we allow our guests to bring their own doggy friends, with prior agreement. We also offer secure lock up for your bicycles and can help you arrange hire bikes with transport services too. Breakfast is provided for your first morning and we invite our guests to pick from the vegetable and fruit garden, in season. Planetrees is perfect for workshop groups, those retreating from hectic life and those wanting to gather to create cherished memories. We are constantly hearing our guests comment, "we should have booked for longer"! Check with us too for special stay packages on offer through each season. We do host weddings in the garden and look forward to talk to you about your plans. These area offered as a "venue only" service for a flat fee. Welcome to Planetrees life! Genevieve, your host, is a passionate creative (artist and trained architect) who spent the past fifteen years building this amazing lifestyle paradise. Drawing on inspirations from her years of travel in Europe and her passion for creating beautiful environments, her vision here was to create a magical garden property to share with those who desire and enjoy nurture in nature. We invite our guests to make this haven their own for their stay. We are keen to provide assistance when needed (offering lots of useful tips!) and at the same time respect your independence and privacy. It's gratifying that so many of our guests become regulars and friends.

The surrounding environment of Stanley township offers a great gastro pub and coffee venue (Stanley Pub - 10 mins walk from Planetrees), farm shops and loads of local walking and cycling tracks. We are located just 8kms from historic Beechworth within easy driving of the diverse experience of Victoria's in High Country : Mount Buffalo, hiking trails and Alpine ski resorts. There are kilometres of cycling tracks through magnificent scenery including the Murray to Mountains trail and the recently opened Epic trail. A chain of characterful towns in the region feature historic monuments of the Gold Rush days, sophisticated and quirky shopping, great cafes, art galleries, luxury spas, some of Australia's top wineries and gourmet venues, and loads of interesting walking paths.
