At Rayville, we like to go to the harbour and catch some fish or get a live Lobster from the fishing co-operative and prepare it at the Barbecue Rotunda. Some of us are avid surfers. Most of us, like to roam around the Otways and along the Great Ocean Road, either walking, riding, canoeing, sailing, golfing, mountain biking or just going for a swim in front of the property. All in all, all of us are nature lovers.

Walk to the beaches (60m) across the Golf Course, to the harbour or back up to the Great Ocean Road (60m) and to the Shops and Restaurants, Attractions and Markets of Apollo Bay. Enjoy being lulled to sleep by the roll of the waves from the ocean. The self-contained units are directed off the Great Ocean Road towards the golf course and the sea and are therefore quiet, away from crowds or traffic.

Most guests combine the drive along the Great Ocean Road on the 1st day and then venture out to the attractions in the Otways and the 12 Apostles on the 2nd and 3rd day. In our immediate vicinity are however the two large white beaches (Apollo Bay main beach and Marengo Bay), the harbour with fishing trips and great local fish & chips. Also, a stone throw away is the local, very scenic golf club. Further, the Barham River is very nice for a paddle, while using our canoes. It is not far to the Marriners waterfalls with lots of glow worms or the Marriners lookout, recommended in the morning to watch the sunrise. And then, beautiful is also the walk to the cafes & restaurants in town, especially when returning in the evening while watching the amazingly bright stars. The Great Ocean Walk 99km starts at Rayville Boat Houses in Apollo Bay.
