Redwoods Rest has two private cabins "Wander" and "Explore" which have been tastefully furnished for couples.
The bedrooms have a queen double size bed and wardrobe storage, the private bathrooms inc a full size bath / shower, hair dryer etc.Lounge areas has flat screen televisions, Sonos sound system and WiFi.
Cabin #1 "Wander" has a full kitchen and pantry and Cabin #2 "Explore" has a kitchenette.
"Wander" also has a washing machine.
Split system air-conditioning is installed in both cabins.
The cabins have large balconies, with BBQ facilities and uninterrupted views over the countryside, forest and Southern Ocean.
The properties extensive gardens adjoin surrounding rain forest and the walking trails (The Old Beechy Rail Trail).
In the mornings and evenings the native bird life will be seeking your attention (and the native bird feed that we have provided).
When you have finished your day of exploring the Otway's, and taken in the sunset, you can sit back and watch the one of the greatest light shows on earth, the Milkway.
Welcome to Redwoods Rest. For me it represents one of life's serendipity moments. As a film-maker, I have spent the best part of my life travelling the world, only to find such beauty and peace in my own backyard. I choose not to live here, but share with others, as I hope they too would share their serendipity experiences with people like myself.
Situated in the heart of the Otway's, Beech Forest is an ideal place to be abased for your exploration and enjoyment of all things relating to the Great Ocean Road and the Great Otway National Park.
Redwoods Rest is located some 7km the regions Redwood Forest, form there you are a short distance to Hopetoun and Beauchamp Falls, equally distant from Redwoods Rest are the Otway Fly and Triplet Falls. A little further afield is Aire River Crossing and the tallest flowering plants in the world, the mighty mountain ash (Eucalyptus regnans).
Other major sites / attractions include the Twelve Apostles (60 km), Cape Otway Lighthouse, Mates Rest, Turtons Track, Stevenson Falls and Lake Elizabeth.
