Sea Dragon Kangaroo Island was transformed in 2022 and is now a premium, experiential travel experience with an authentic Australian style. Staff strive to ensure that every guest has a wonderful relaxing stay, and enjoy sharing their knowledge of the island to further enhance your holiday. Recent developments include the addition of an ocean-view restaurant with seating for 45-guests as well as the introduction of an integrated Sea Dragon Kangaroo Island branded small-group touring Experiences program led by experienced tour-guides and featuring late-model Mercedes passenger carrying vehicles (maximum 10 guests), based at the property, traveling to all places of interest on the island. The Experiences, of between two and four nights duration are inclusive of accommodation options across the four categories, meals (continental breakfast, dinner and lunch when on tour). Furthermore, there is an increasing range of activities available onsite including honey or gin tasting, sunset drinks with the kangaroos and guided walks and tours, including of the nearby Cape Willoughby lighthouse.

Private Wilderness Experience Sea Dragon Kangaroo Island is perfect for couples or families with older children looking for a luxurious, relatively small private retreat in a spectacular coastal setting, located near to the Cape Willoughby lighthouse precinct, a 25-minute drive from Penneshaw and the SeaLink ferry service connecting Kangaroo Island and the mainland (Cape Jervis). All 17 accommodations enjoys stunning ocean views, surrounded by wildlife. Sea Dragon is a destination in itself with onsite walking trails and extensive wildlife viewing on the property of 250-acres, 150 of which are designated as Conservation Reserve.

Our nearest neighbour is the Cape Willoughby lighthouse, the oldest in South Australia and it is a lovely 20-minute walk featuring a panorama of the Southern Ocean. Within a 15 minute drive, you will be greeted by two award-winning wine cellar doors, namely False Cape and also Dudley Wines. A 25 minutes drive to the Penneshaw township is where you have the opportunity to swim with dolphins and seals plus some fantastic walking trails.
