The Gables accommodation is the entire front half of a Classic Bowral home built in 1880. You'll have the whole space to yourselves, it's very private. Parking is directly out the front with a dedicated path to the accommodation. Access is via a keyless digital lock, the access code for your stay is emailed to you prior to your arrival. We live out the back of the property & I'm only a phone call away should you need anything. Situated in one of Old Bowral's best streets it sleeps 5 & offers 2 generous bedrooms with queen sized beds & a sunroom for an extra guest. 2 private side decks, 1 modern bathroom with 2 vanities, free Fiber to the home Wi-Fi & a working fireplace. There is a basic kitchenette with a bar fridge, microwave, multi function cooker, electric frypan, small hotplate with frying pan, toaster, kettle & pod coffee machine. The information desk in the dining room has numerous local restaurant menus for dining out & take away, some providing home delivery. There are panel heaters in each of the bedrooms, a gas heater in the lounge room as well as the dining area. A slow combustion wood fireplace is located in the loungeroom. So there's plenty of heating to make your stay nice & cozy during cooler months. Please note there is NO TV in The Gables, instead we have loads of board games, cards, an extensive range of books & magazines, oh, & a restored 1978 pinball machine! Easy 25 min walk to town or 3 minute drive for cafe's, restaurants & shopping as well as easy access to Mt Gibraltar walks. There is a reliable local Taxi service & Uber is available. The Gables central location makes it an ideal base to explore the Southern Highlands, whether you're just getting away for the weekend or attending a wedding. Hi, I'm Rob, your host at The Gables. We live at the back of the property, I'm home most of the time to offer help if needed. You'll have the entire front of the house to yourself as well as 2 side decks, one which is screened. I am a local artist, my studio is located at the end of the driveway. Many of the artworks on the walls at The Gables are my personal work, many of which are for sale. If you're interested in purchasing a piece as a memento of your trip please give me a call. Situated in one of Bowral's best streets oozing with lovely old homes and leafy tree lined streets. Great for walks around the area or a stroll into town. We are located approximately 800 metres from the main shopping area of Bowral - so an easy 25 minute walk or a 3 minute drive down the street. There are lots of walking paths in the area to explore. Free parking is on the street right out the front of the property - no time restrictions.
