Ustikolina is a populated place and the seat of the Foča-Ustikolina municipality, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located at the confluence of the Kolina River with the Drina. A 2,000-year-old road leading from Foča passed through this area from the right bank of the Drina. In 2016, archaeologists investigated this area after reports from locals. They found a rich deposit of ancient Roman bronze and copper coins, dating from the 2nd to the 4th century, and pottery on the cultivated fields, which proves that this was a developed region back then. Sand pyramids or earth pyramids are an extraordinary natural phenomenon and they are located only nine kilometers from Foča, Maglić is a Dinaric mountain on the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, about twenty kilometers southwest of Foča. Maglić is the mountain with the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its highest peak is Veliki Vitao (2,396 m) in Montenegro, while on the Bosnian side of the mountain, the highest peak is Maglić at 2,386 m above sea level
