The apartment is self contained and has all its own facilities its on a quiet road the garden is lined with shrubs and has a nice lawn, often you will find humming birds pollinating the garden flowers and you will here the sound of whistling frogs when the sun goes down. There is a car port with a small drive way, behind metal gates the apartment is on the ground floor consisting of two double bedrooms, one of the bedrooms has a bunk bed suitable for 2 children, the apartment is ideal for families , it is managed by al who lives opposite or me Bob when I am on the island, we are ready to help with any concerns you may have or information you may need. The apartment benefits from having air conditioning in both bedrooms and overhead fans in the dining and living room areas. Unlimited wifi is supplied < there is a flat screen television, plus a radio & c/d player to listen to music. There is a laundry room in the apartment with a large American style washing machine, hand tub and washing line outside to dry your clothes. The kitchen is well equipped and there is very spacious open plan living room & dining room. You can also dine outside on the covered terrace where there is an outside table & chairs provided for you, also benifiting from an overhead fan.. You will be provided with clean spare bed linen & towels including beach towel, also if you need more linen we can supply more.

I am 68 Years old and From Essex in England, love to play Golf , I have owned Heywoods villa for over 20 years and never get tired of coming to Barbados. The top half half of the house is our family accommodation and the Lower half is reserved for guests I do hate the British Winters and this is the main reason I have a holiday home in the sun

The Speightstown/ Heywoods area offers great watersport activities including boat trips, water skiing, jet skis, deep sea fishing etc there are some great places to eat locally, the numerous sea front restaurants are ideal for a romantic meal or a quiet lunch with new places springing up all the time, you will also find plenty of take away food outlets & small cafes locally (too many to list) You can shop in numerous supermarkets, chemists, clothing shops, market stalls, or one of the many banks, in fact you will find almost any thing you require locally. Port saint charles beach is just a few minutes walk and is one of the best beaches on the island, it is never crowded and is perfect for swimming & sunbathing . There are bars with live music in speighstown, such as he little Bristol bar & the chilling bar, there is also a very popular bar that serves food called Caboose which is a converted boat. One of my personal favorites is pier one at port saint charles, a great restaurant, you can have lunch and use the sun beds provided, you can enter the sea to swim by simply walking down a ladder and swim to the beach opposite or snorkel round the rocks to see the lovely tropical fish. There is a bus station around 800yds away from the apartment with buses ready to take you anywhere on the island cheaply if you want to explore this wonderful friendly paradise isle. There are 2 piers that you can fish from or just stroll down and see what the fishermen have caught. You may even spot a green monkey or 2 wandering around . There is also a museum in speightstown called the Arligton museum. You will also see street vendors selling lots of different fruit and vegetable off of their market stalls on the pavements.
