A place is located in the heart of Antwerp, right in the fashion district, on the charming square ‘De Vrijdagmarkt.’ It’s within walking distance of the ‘Groenplaats,’ the Grote Markt with its City Hall, numerous designer shops, and the ‘Kloosterstraat,’ famous for its antique and vintage stores. Everything you need (or don’t need) is within easy reach: restaurants, bars, design and furniture stores, supermarkets, bakeries, hair salons, museums—you name it. Despite its central location, De Vrijdagmarkt is a small, lively, and authentic square that has yet to be discovered by tourists. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee or a beer with the locals at one of the cozy cafés. Every Friday morning, you can witness the weekly auction, where the square fills up with furniture, curiosities, and perhaps the find of a lifetime! On this very square, you’ll also find the world-renowned Plantin-Moretus Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the nearby ‘Nationalestraat’ and surrounding streets, you can explore the designer boutiques of the famous “Antwerp Six” and other internationally acclaimed designers.
