My aim is to provide a hospitable, relaxing and full of positive emotions stay to my guests in a cosy and comfortable accommodation. I can recommend you to try my delicious home-made Bulgarian dishes, which I am sure you will love to eat.

“At Chorbadzhiykata” guest-house is a cosy accommodation, which has been recently renewed. It’s a three-storey house with five rooms, each of which has capacity for extra beds. There is a modern heating system with radiators in every room. The premises of the house has also a beautiful yard with flowers, a tavern in a traditional Bulgarian style and a covered “chardak” (veranda) with a panoramic view towards the mountain. We run the property as a guest-house since 2007 and since then we have welcomed thousands of tourists.

Kalofer is interesting to visit because of three main things – the beautiful scenery, historical sites and living traditions. Situated at the foot of the Balkan mountains, Kalofer is a starting point for many eco tours towards Botev peak, Rayskoto praskalo waterfall and the Byala reka eco trail. Kalofer is also the hometown of Hristo Botev – one of the most renowned Bulgarian revolutionaries. In the town you can see his house, turned into a museum, as well as the large monumental complex dedicated to him. Other historical sites include the two monasteries and a number of churches. Traditions are on worship in Kalofer. Come during the Christmas Eve, Easter or Sirni Zagovezny and participate or observe unique celebrations, reproduced just like the old times two centuries ago. You will see “koledari” and “kukeri” which are famous for their songs, bagpipes, dances and costumes. But Kalofer is probably most associated with Yordanovden (January 6th) when local men, dressed in folk costumes, walk into the cold waters of Tundzha river and under the beat of a drum begin a Bulgarian round dance, called “horo”. Numerous tourists from Bulgaria and abroad come to see these unique custom.
