We are entering our 5th year of Canto das Águas, and we are deeply grateful for the trust of all guests who have stayed with us over the years — many wonderful people who are part of our story. We are a family-owned business (owners Paulo and Lisiane), originally from Rio Grande do Sul, who found in Morro de São Paulo an extraordinary place to live and welcome guests. The guesthouse is currently managed by Julie, together with Letícia and a small dedicated team. Julie and Letícia are calm, attentive hosts, fully committed to enhancing the experience of everyone who visits Morro de São Paulo. Canto das Águas is located within Cajila Condominium, at the top of Morro de São Paulo, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean and the sunset — one of the most impressive settings on the island. Access is via a 15–20 minute walk (approximately 1 km) from the central Aureliano Lima Square, including some uphill sections and steps. Reaching the top is rewarded with lush nature and a peaceful environment ideal for relaxation. Our guesthouse features 4 compact apartments of 37 m², designed to be functional, comfortable, and welcoming. Each unit includes an equipped kitchenette, a queen-size bed, a single sofa bed, a private bathroom, and a private balcony with ocean views. All apartments have independent access and offer the same privileged view. Guests may enjoy our private infinity-edge swimming pool, perfect for unforgettable sunset moments, as well as a shared ground-floor lounge area and reception. The condominium also offers a panoramic swimming pool with ocean views, surrounded by nature. From Cajila Condominium, internal trails lead directly to the shoreline of Porto de Cima Beach (where we are located), Ponta da Pedra, Praia da Argila, and Gamboa — some of the most beautiful beaches on the island, ideal for walks during low tide. Extra services available: artisanal breakfast, fresh handmade pasta, daily special dishes, gourmet snack boards, boat tours, quad bike tours, 6x6 vehicle tours, diving experiences, and other local activities. Accessibility: As Morro de São Paulo has no vehicle circulation and Canto das Águas is located 80 meters above sea level, we do not recommend this property for elderly guests or guests with any mobility limitations. Luggage porters are available at the pier upon arrival (a common, paid local service). Safety: Morro de São Paulo is considered a safe destination, with a calm atmosphere and low crime rates. Important note: We do not accept reservations made on behalf of third parties.

The beaches directly in front of the property are accessible via a 300-meter trail and are often considered among the most beautiful in Morro de São Paulo. At Porto de Cima Beach, guests can enjoy snorkeling, and at Ponta da Pedra Beach, access between large rock formations leads to Praia da Argila and Gamboa Beach during low tide. The walk to Canto das Águas is paved, well-lit, and safe, both during the day and at night. Along the way, you will pass through Fonte Grande Street, where you will find excellent traditional Bahian restaurants (generally more affordable than those on the numbered beaches), small grocery stores, a pharmacy, and other services. You will then pass through Lagoa Street, an area where the local community lives, with small shops, fruit stands, children playing, and everyday island life. The final part of the route is uphill, arriving at Cajila Condominium, one of the highest points on the island, offering one of the most privileged views in Morro de São Paulo.
