Our home is situated in an open and peaceful forest setting only a 5 minute walk to the popular Twin Beaches. We have a fire pit behind the house and if you see a fire lit, please feel free to join us. If you like bird life, our property is a bird magnet. The Hummingbirds are always present as are Ravens, Eagles and Owls. During the Spring to mid Autumn, frequent visitors are Woodpeckers, Robins, Blue Jays and a wide assortment of song birds. Along with the birds, we have deer, racoons and squirrels paying visits. The b&b suite has a private entrance and is self contained with no sharing and is your private space. The suite is fairly large with a living room, one bedroom with a queen bed and a 2nd bedroom with a double bed. There is also a bunk bed in an enclave which is suitable for kids or teenagers. You also have a kitchenette with a dining area and bathroom with a shower.
We enjoy island living and especially outdoors recreation. Going for walks is one of our favourite activities and Gabriola Island has abundant eye candy shoreline, beach or forest trails for getting outbound. We also kayak, e bike and like to relax by working on a 1000 piece puzzle.
Our b&b is only a 5 minute walk to the popular and swimmable Twin Beaches which are Pilot Bay and Taylor Bay. At low tide you can walk along the sandstone shoreline of Taylor Bay to the Malaspina Galleries. At sunset the Malaspina Galleries are stunning picture postcard beautiful. We are only a 7 minute drive to the Gabriola Island Village which offers ample services and shopping.
