Hi! My name is Hunter, founder of Park Place Retreats. I was raised on Grand Manan Island and I’m currently studying Business, and Climate and Environment at St. Francis Xavier University. I have always dreamed of creating amazing accommodations on the island, and in my first year of university I decided to make that dream happen. As my professor taught about business plans, I built one of my own. By second semester, I submitted the plan to CBDC Charlotte County for funding, had my application approved, and was able to create my first geodome: The Michael Dome! Park Place Retreats is focused on Environmental Sustainability and providing an amazing experience to our guests. The environment was taken into consideration every step of the way when building The Michael Dome. From the organic cotton towels, mattress and bedding, to the bamboo toilet paper products, everything in the dome was placed there with the environment in mind.

Situated on picturesque Grand Manan Island, this geodesic dome has a beautiful view the ocean. You can see Swallowtail Lighthouse and the Grand Manan Ferry as it comes and goes. This new stay has two queen beds, one on the first floor and one in the loft. Equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom, deck, hot tub, lawn, fire pit and hammock.
