High Hopes Bed and Breakfast is situated on Thacker Mountain which overlooks the Hope Golf and Country Club and the town of Hope with really spectacular views of mountains to the south, west and north. The house was custom built by the owner in a West Coast contemporary style with many unique features. Full breakfasts are included in the price and choices are offered, i.e. cooked (with options) or continental (with options). Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are also available. Hope is a small nostalgic Canadian town with fabulous surrounding mountains and rivers and also a train which passes through it, which can make your stay here uniquely memorable!
I absolutely LOVE to meet people from literally all over the world because everyone has a story to tell, which I am very curious about. I was born in England and emigrated to Canada in 1981 so half of me is British and the other half is Canadian. I really enjoy listening to my guests chatting at breakfast time, because they all have backgrounds and experiences that they want to share. I have several optional dining areas, which enables me to adapt to my guests' needs. And pleasing my guests is what I really want to do!
Hope is a small town but it has a lot to offer. The Othello Tunnels are a must-see and are now open again after being closed since the Atmospheric River a few years ago. Hiking trails are in abundance (big or small, depending on your skills), Kawkawa Lake and Lake of the Woods are both beautiful with lots of activities (some rentable), but all in all, Hope has the small town experience that most people from big cities crave. Adventure is here for the asking and relaxation is too, depending on your wants and needs. There is nearly always something going on in Hope, depending on the time of year, i.e. chainsaw carving competitions, "Communities in Bloom", Hope Brigade Days, Farmers Markets, antique shops, plus, plus, plus.
