I am Bernadette and with my husband, Ben, I have been hosting since 2017, and from this new location since August 2019. I have been a flower farmer and organic mixed vegetable and fruit producer, selling at the local farm market and to florists in the area. We sold our farm in February and moved to this lovely home surrounded by trees and beautiful forest paths. I enjoy gardening, DIY and playing music. Ben is a retired high school English teacher who also loves playing music. We enjoy hosting guests who are looking for a relaxing and private getaway.

This is a rural-residential neighbourhood with lots of trees on a peninsula surrounded by west coast beaches, some with tide pools that are fun to explore. There is an extensive municipal trail network through established forests, near Horth Hill park. The Swartz Bay ferry terminal is only 3 km. away, and the airport is close too. The attractive seaside town of Sidney has lots of unique shops and restaurants. A little further afield is the world-famous Butchart Gardens (20 km. away) and the provincial capital city of Victoria (30 km. away), which boasts North America's second highest number of restaurants per capita (after San Francisco), and Canada's oldest Chinatown. Our extensive bike path network makes this area the cycling capital of Canada, with more cyclists per capita than any other city.
