Chalet PapaGna is a beautiful, spacious chalet (120m2) in the traditional Swiss village of Zinal. Perfect for relaxing on your alpine holiday. Located at the top end of the Val d'Anniviers, Zinal is a must-visit destination in summer and winter.
Chalet PapaGna was built in 2019 with beautiful pine from Arctic Lapland, carefully designed to consider the environment the chalet is superbly insulated and centrally heated efficiently and effectively by an air source heat pump system and cosy wood burning stove.
Staying green, we love the fact that you can reach the chalet easily using public transport and that once here holidays are all about exploring on foot, bike or skis.
The chalet provides very comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people and is available in winter on a catered or self-catered basis and in summer as self-catered only.
Chalet PapaGna is owned and run by Nick Parks.
Nick is a fully-qualified IFMGA Mountain Guide and has been working in and exploring the mountains most of his life. A few years ago he discovered Zinal and the Val d'Anniviers and decided this was where he wanted to make his home. In 2019 he fulfilled his dream of building his own chalet here in the village.
Nick is available for small group guiding in summer and winter.

Things to do in Summer
Relax and enjoy the beautiful chalet - inside by the wood-burning stove or outside on the large terrace. Take in the stunning views and be inspired to explore the village, share an adventure in the valley or on the higher mountain paths.
Explore on foot or by bike (available to rent in Zinal) . Hike along the valley and picnic in the alpine meadows. Take the cable car up and take in views of the Matterhorn and other 4000m peaks which surround the valley. There are marked hiking trails throughout the Val d'Anniviers.
Road bike through the traditional mountain villages of Ayer, Mission and St Jean or explore the extensive mountain bike trails.
Take on a thrilling mountain adventure by going up high to a refuge, glacier walking, scrambling on the via ferrate trails or learning to climb or improve your alpine skills with a fully qualified IFMGA Mountain Guide.
