Hello, I’m your host, Jenny. In 2013, after graduating in the United States and working there for a year, I returned to Shanghai to pursue a career in finance. Everything seemed perfect—a stable job, marriage, and family life. However, I always wanted to explore more possibilities. I developed a passion for filming and editing, so I became a content creator. I love dancing, so I started offering free lessons to my friends. I also enjoy camping, making monthly trips to the mountains and lakes to embrace nature. For me, Beijing is like a wise elder, deeply rooted in history yet full of modern energy. Walking through the hutongs, you can feel the authentic Beijing lifestyle. Practicing morning exercises in the Temple of Heaven Park, you experience the peaceful rhythm of local life. In Sanlitun and Guomao, you witness the vibrancy of a global metropolis. Whether it's the Forbidden City in the morning, Beihai Park at sunset, or the dazzling lights of Chang'an Avenue at night, this city has a unique way of touching every visitor’s heart. In February 2019, I started my first Airbnb, connecting with travelers from around the world. Sharing stories and moments brought me great joy. In 2020, I expanded to Booking, though the pandemic brought challenges. But with challenges came new opportunities. Over the past four years, I realized that many great accommodations remain undiscovered. My goal is to bridge this gap—offering international travelers authentic stays while helping Chinese hosts share their homes with the world. Now, with five years of experience, I manage more than 90 properties in Shanghai and Xi'an, including five personally owned. We also operate our own platform providing better support for international travelers in China. Through these efforts, I hope to bring the warmth of home to more people while showcasing the unique charm of Beijing.
