We are René & Karin, a semi retired couple from the Netherlands who have recently decided to embark on a new adventure by opening up a B&B on the tropical Island of Curaçao, one of the former Netherlands Antilles, located in the Caribbean. We were fortunate enough to be able to use one of the island’s most beautiful villas for this purpose and we would like to welcome you to our B&B enterprise in this pleasant tropical paradise.

As a matter of fact, you don’t even have to leave the villa to have a well spent vacation. There is a well constructed swimming pool, situated in the middle of the beautifully landscaped garden, from where you can see the hummingbirds and parakeets flying around the tropical trees and flowers. A palapa provides shade on the pool deck, so sitting on the deckchairs you can either bath in the sun or relax under the cover of its palm leaves roofing. You can take a stroll through the tropical garden with various types of palm trees, banana trees and colourful tropical flowers. On your way in this garden you may very well encounter an innocuous iguanda or even a ‘blauw blauw’, an indigenous and harmless lizard specie, famous for its bright blue colour after which it has been named. The Villa has 2 bedrooms, 1 studio with small kitchen and 1 apartment for 2 persons and 1 apartment for 4 persons with large open kitchen and separate bedrooms. All our rooms have a private bathroom and air conditioning. If you want to connect to the outside world, you just take a seat on the cool verandah with your phone, laptop or tablet, because internet service is available throughout the whole of the villa. We recommend everyone to rent a car to go to the nicest beaches and restaurants, that is why we have 3 cars for rent as an extra service, and direct booking is also possible. We serve breakfast (if desired) on the first day after arrival. There is a surcharge per person for this. For the other days you can use our kitchen and refrigerator. This applies to the rooms without a kitchen. Check-out is between 08:00 and 11:00, if you want to use the room longer (if possible), we charge a surcharge per hour, until departure.

Our villa is located in Julianadorp, a suburb of Willemstad, constructed in the thirties and forties for the Royal Dutch Shell oil company’s higher management. Since air conditioning devices were not commonly applied to private houses in those days, the villas of Julianadorp were built in an ‘upwind’ way to make the most of the refreshing winds coming in from the sea, resulting in a comfortable cooling breeze that’s always there. Furthermore, the fact that this neighbourhood is situated in the middle of the island comes with the advantage that literally everything is close by.
