In the past in Cyprus all the houses were stone built. The thick walls kept the house warm in winter and fresh in the summer. The king studio is traditional architecture of late 18th to early 19th century. The room by the street was coffee shop.
When i was born my parents had a restaurant in Governors Beach. I was trained from childhood how to serve and satisfy human needs. I learnt to cook and manage a restaurant. At the same time my parents built rooms which we were renting to guests.
My neighbourhood is very interesting. It has the village square exactly opposite to my houses,the St' Mary's church close by. The local supermaket, the butchery,and the coffee shop are two minutes walk from Cottage houses. The football ground and children's playing ground are also very close. In the past half of the people of the village were Turkish Cypriots, so we have a local mosque as well. Pentakomo is also close to Governor's Beach a very popular beach, and also to the White Rocks beach, a very secluded beach. For those who like walking the countryside is five minutes away from Pentakomo.
