My small, cosy and open apartment offers enough space for two people. A comfortable double bed in the size of 180x200 cm forms the center of attention - here you can read for hours with a view into the greenery, watch exciting films in the opposite TV or simply relax from an eventful day. For your clothes there is a large wardrobe (clothes hangers are available) with drawers and a chest of drawers. The small kitchenette consists of a large refrigerator, sink and a two-plate ceramic hob. Of course, cooking utensils, pots and pans are available. Conjure up a good, warm meal if you don't eat in Wernigerode. At the dining table for two - with a view of our mighty house-chestnut - you can also work at times. The bathroom is bright and light in daylight and is equipped with a large shower, toilet, washbasin and towel radiator. The entire apartment was renovated and completely redesigned in the summer of 2017. I have put a lot of emphasis on light colours combined with oak wood and bright blue. Everything's the same as I would myself.

I have been living in the beautiful Harz region for 35 years - where other people spend their holidays. I love my home country, and I like to be on the road here, because there is something new and exciting to discover everywhere - in the colourful half-timbered towns, in nature, in museums and galleries... Therefore, I can help you plan your stay with tips for walks, sightseeing and restaurants. The Harz Mountains are among the most beautiful hiking regions in Germany. I'll take advantage of that! Whenever I have a few hours to spare, I lace up my hiking boots and am in the woods. If the free hours are scarce, you will find me in the garden. I need nature for relaxation and know from my own experience great viewpoints, hiking routes and nice rest stops in the eastern and western Harz mountains. I attach great importance to good food, enjoy cooking - especially new recipes and company - and of course I also like eating out. When I travel, I prefer to travel by sea - the rough North Sea is the most beautiful one in the cold season, because I'm not a beach lazy guy:) Most of the time, you long for what you don't have in everyday life.

My apartment is located on the ground floor of a multiple dwelling with nice and quiet residents. Our small, downtown but dignified quarter is beautifully green with spacious plots of land in a pleasant neighbourhood. The historic city centre with its strolling mile, restaurants and cafés is only a 5-minute walk away. With 10-15 minutes walking distance you can reach different woodland and mountains in the surrounding area. Two small supermarkets are also only a 10 minute walk away. Doctors and pharmacy are located in the side street (of course only for emergencies: -)) The nearest bus stop is only 2 minutes away, the railway station of the famous Harzer Schmalspurbahn is only 4 minutes away, the main station is about 20 minutes on foot. Of course, all destinations can be reached easily by car.
