The Cozy Cottage was originally built in 1927 and completely restored in 2016/2017. The vacation apartment is located on the ground floor with a private entrance. The owner also resides in the house and is available 24H if help is needed.
In Nov./Dec. 2019 we changed the interior of the vacation apartment. A seperating wall has been built in between the Kitchen and Sleeping area comfortably seperating both rooms an offering more privacy.
The vacation apartment is located on a quiet street and offers all the comfort of a compact home away from home and is set up in an apartment style having two rooms; a kitchen area incl, dining area, a seperate bedroom (french size bed), with seating area and a private bathroom incl. a shower.
Free parking is available in front of the house on the street.
The inner courtyard offers plenty of room for relaxation and a possibility to grill to your hearts desire. All the necessary garden furniture is available upon request (deck chairs, shady seating area sun umbrellas as well as a grill).
I have personally travelled to many countries throughout the world, and understand what it means to feel welcome. Originally I come from Florida and back home we are known for our southern hospitality. So with this background, I dedicate myself to making sure that my guests are well taken care of and feel at home.
I really enjoy meeting individuals from all over the world, exchanging experiences and philosophy.
At the same time it is my uttermost goal that my guests use the opportunity to relax, enjoy the beautiful surroundings in the Eifel, and take back an unforgetable beautiful memory of their stay in The Cozy Cottage.
The vacation apartment is located in the middle of Rieden on a quiet side street.
Right around the corner there is a backery where you can buy all kinds of delicious breads, pastery, cakes and pies.
There is also a nice restaurant close by (walking distance 2 min.) where you can enjoy the regional cuisine.
At the Rieden Lake (20 minute walking distance) there are two further restaurants. A very nice pizzeria and a beautiful restaurant overlooking the lake with a large wooden terrace where you can sit outside and enjoy your meal. By the way, swimming is allowed and free of charge!
This area is also well known for its trekking paths and volcanic landscape. The Maria Laach Lake is a short drive and is an absolute "must" to visit with it's breathtaking scenery and countryside.
You will simply fall in love with the area.....
