Toma family manages the whole Zur Krone complex and has almost 20 years of experience in tourism and gastronomy in Bavaria. Three years ago the spouses moved to Widdershaussen and started the extensive process of renovation and reintroduction into the tourist circuit of the restaurant and the houses located in the immediate vicinity. Today they welcome you in their complex which has 23 beds and 160 seats in the restaurant and terrace, that combines old traditional elements with modern amenities. But above all, the warmth and hospitality of the hosts who dedicated their lives to reviving a fragment of the history of these places are waiting for you.

Located in the picturesque village of Widdershausen, this holiday home is part of a three holiday homes complex served by the Zur Krone restaurant that has over 100 experience in the hospitality industry. With an easy access from the main street, there are two free parking spaces near the building. The house was built around 1800 in the traditional style of the area, timber framed, with white facades and coloured window and door frames and in 2020 it has undergone extensive restoration works in order to highlight all the initial architectural elements. The building has three floors, with one reception room, a toilet and one separate shower room on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a fully equipped kitchen and one family apartment which has a small living room with a sofa and one TV and two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other one with two single beds. In the attic there is one intimate room with two single beds. Guests can cook in their own kitchen, or they can eat in the restaurant and terrace located 20 meters away.

Because Widdershaussen village is located on the bank of the Werra river and along Werratal, it is mainly visited by biking enthusiasts and nature lovers. The most popular attraction of the area is Monte Kali, an artificial mountain of potasium salts, located approximately 3 km away. ,,Monte Kali” is one of the most unusual mountains in Germany. It owes its origins to the potash mining which has shaped the Werra Valley region which surrounds Heringen (Werra) for over 125 years. A climb on Monte Kali is a unique experience, especially during summer. Another tourist attraction in the area is Rhäden bei Obersuhl und Bosserode nature reserve, located 8 km away, where tourists can admire different species of birds and animals in their natural environment. In the town of Heringen we find the Werra-Kalibergbau museum which has over 1.000 square meters of exhibition space and is the largest museum dedicated to potash mining in Germany.
