At the beginning of 2021, I bought this country house between Bryrup and Brædstrup. My wish with Holmely is to create a place where everyone can feel safe going out and spending the night in the Danish nature. Where communities are created and where the smell of fire and earth is taken home in the rucksack. I live in the house, so I am mostly available if questions or other needs arise. The large plot of 1.7 hectares is used for Glamping tents, Tipi with wood-burning stove, treetop shelter, campfire etc. I have traveled as a backpacker in the USA, Mexico, Canada, East and South Africa, and have lived in South Africa for a few years. I enjoy meeting travelers and sharing experiences, but also have full respect for guests who want peace and privacy. I work as a freelancer from home, so I'm always available. Nice and new refurbished cottage. In the cottage there is bed 140x200 for 2, duvets and pillows + towels. Space for clothes. Dining area for 4 people. Small kitchen with fridge, electric kettle and 2 hotplates. Small bath with toilet. Terrace with seating and campfire in the forest garden. There is free coffee and tea and a small minibar where you pay with Mobilepay or cash. At Holmely we have electrical and gravel bikes for rent. It's is possible to order breakfast buffet - in the main house and tapas. Write a message if you want to make a reservation on any of these things. From Holmely there is 3 km. to Bryrup Langsø and Karl sø where you can swim. The area is very beautiful with several hiking trails in the protected area. There is 1.5 km. to the Horsens - Silkeborg old railway path. Brædstrup is 5 km. away and is a cozy little town with shops and restaurants and cafes. Bryrup is 6 km away. Here is the old Veteran track that runs to Vrads st. On Vrad st. you will find Restaurant Vrads Station, which makes Danish / French inspired food based on local ingredients. 12 km. to the Genfundne Bro and Gudenåen. Important info! When you go for walks from Holmely, it is extremely important that you stay on public roads and paths.
