Tollundgaard has been a family farm for more than 250 years. Today it is driven by me and two of my siblings with help from our parents and local employees. Us siblings we have all grown up here, and put in a lot of heart to take good care of the place. We are very lucky with the natural beauty of the surroundings. Even though we are located just 2 km. from the highway this is a very quiet place. There is a lake, a golf course and forrest just outside the door. The main building is from 1885 and made of stone walls it is modernized in 2007.
Martin is the youngest, educated as a greenskeeper. He loves handball and golf. Mikael is in the middle, educated in forestry. He loves soccer and interested in nature. Diana is the elderly, she takes care of the companies on site. She is fond of running.
8 km from here is Silkeborg with the pretty and cozy centrum. Silkeborg has a lot of attractions and is worth a visit. More locally here is Bøllingsø, it is a very unique and unspoiled piece of nature. The lake covers 360 acres and extra 475 acres of meadows, fields and thickets. The Tollund Man is found at Bøllingsø. The Tollund Man is probably the most well-preserved body from pre-historic times in the world.
